mRNA-IL31 is an in vitro transcribed (IVT) messenger RNA encoding interleukin-31 (IL-31), a pruritogenic cytokine produced by activated T cells that directly targets sensory neurons and keratinocytes to drive itch signaling and skin barrier dysfunction. This synthetic mRNA enables controlled expression of IL-31 for research in atopic dermatitis pathogenesis, chronic pruritus mechanisms, and development of IL-31- targeted biologics (e.g., nemolizumab analogs) for inflammatory skin diseases.
